Our publication scheme

We publish information routinely under our publication scheme, in seven classes: who we are and what we do; what we spend and how we spend it; our priorities and how we are doing; how we make decisions; our policies and procedures; lists and registers; and the services we offer. Most of it is on this website. Where it is not, we will send it on request, free of charge unless copying or postage would cost more than £10.

Making a request

Write to us by email or by post, with your name, an address for the reply and a description of the information you want. You do not need to say why you want it, or mention the Act.

What happens next

We will acknowledge your request and reply within 20 working days. We may withhold information where an exemption in the Act applies, for example because it is personal data, commercially sensitive, or was given to us in confidence, and if we do we will say which exemption and why. Information held only in confidential records, such as the reserved business of a committee, is considered under the same rules as anything else.

If you are not satisfied

You may ask for an internal review, which will be carried out by someone not involved in the original decision, within 40 working days. If you are still not satisfied, you may complain to the independent regulator for information rights.
