Living in Oxenfurt and Novigrad

Oxenfurt is a city of about 140,000 people on the south bank of the Pontar. The University’s older buildings stand along the river in the city centre; the Riverside site, with the sciences and the Riverside Library, is a fifteen-minute walk east along the Embankment. About 1,940 students live across the river in Novigrad, where rents are lower, and cross by ferry in six minutes.

First-year undergraduates are offered a room in one of the University’s seven halls, from Ferry Court (built 1898, by the landing stage) to Saltings (opened 2019, with 612 en-suite rooms).
