On the day
- Bring your University card. You will not be admitted without it, but the Examinations Office can issue a temporary card on the day.
- Arrive fifteen minutes before the start. You may not enter more than thirty minutes after it.
- Phones, smart watches and any device that can record or communicate must be switched off and left in the bag area. A medical device that cannot be removed should be declared to the Examinations Office at least two weeks beforehand, so that arrangements can be agreed.
- If the Pontar Crossing is cancelled by high water, tell the Examinations Office as soon as you can; you will be given the full time, in the same room or another.
Alternative arrangements
Students with a disability or long-term condition may be entitled to extra time, a separate room, a reader or scribe, or a computer. Arrangements are agreed with the Disability Advisory Service and must be in place six weeks before the examination period.
If you are ill
If you are unable to sit an examination, or sit it while ill, see extensions and mitigating circumstances. Please do not sit an examination if you consider yourself unfit to do so; the University’s regulations treat a student who sits as having declared themselves fit.
